Call for cross-party debate on the proposed European Union referendum

This in from Iain McKie, leader of the Isle of Wight UK Independence Party. Ed

The Isle of Wight United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) have invited other Isle of Wight branches of the Conservative, Labour, and Liberal Democrat parties to join together for a public debate on the proposed European Union referendum.

With a vote potentially within a few short months, UKIP would like to work with the other parties to stage a public meeting where Isle of Wight constituents can, on a fair and equal basis, hear all the arguments for and against continued UK membership of the EU.

Greens on board
The IW Green Party have agreed to participate, and we hope to hear from the Chairs of the other political parties soon, so that a venue, date, and format can be agreed upon and made public.

IW UKIP Chair, Iain McKie, can be contacted via [email protected]
