Well done to the Bestival organisers, Get Involved, for winning the Best New Festival prize for their new venture, Camp Bestival at the UK Festival Awards, announced last night.
This should, in some way, make up for the natural disappointment they probably feel for not winning the Best Medium-sized Festival for the fourth year in the row for Bestival. Still, getting the award for three years in a row was pretty amazing, something the Island should also be proud of as, over the years of Bestival, Islanders have remained faithful to the festival, bringing their own energy to the event, seeing it grow.
Sad news for Solo, with nothing for the Isle of Wight Festival this year.
