Captain Haddock’s Mobile Disco Presents It Came From Beneath the Sea

Thanks to Jim for sharing news of this free event taking place tomorrow night at the The Propellor Inn. See Events On The Wight for details. In his own words. Ed

As Spring Fever takes hold of the Island, a bunch of rather silly, fishy individuals decided to gather their tunes together and bash out some bassy seafaring vibes.

Captain Haddock's Poster: Djing shenanigans will be provided by an exceptional group of pirates and sea creatures with the Island based Soul Cake Sound System creating this pop-up party.

The Lazy Technician & Oliver Sudden (Vintage Fly Sound System)
Haddock proudly presents the Vintage Fly with the Lazy Technician and Oliver Sudden. Known throughout the south this dynamic pair graces us with a dynamite Funk and Hiphop. All vinyl selection.

They are often found in the deeper, darker secret corners of the Festival VIP world. These guys play a good time mix to the rock stars and their hangers on! With their own releases being well received by the UK Hip Hop scene and some very deep record crates expect everything from hip hop to funk, soul and raregroove, guaranteed good time beats to get you moving.

Richie P (Circus Warp)
Dredged from the Isle of Wight underbelly, Richie has a staggering record collection from years of being at the forefront of the underground party scene. Expect the unexpected as he drops an eclectic mix of tunes from early house and electro funk to reggae and roots.

Mr Klunk (Code South FM – Brighton Pirate Radio)
Visiting us from the far shores of Brighton Town we’re not sure whether to let him on the decks yet or persuade him to stick to his phenomenal origami skills … Dub is his game, Klunk is the name.

Fat Freddy & Oddboy (Soul Cake)
Superstars in their own front rooms – music to properly dance and strut to…

So if you like good times, and a good tipple, then come along and see what Haddock has to offer. In a nutshell … Good music played by fun lovin’ imbeciles … So Enjoy!

The party starts at 6pm, it’s free entry and will carry on for as long as we can get away with it! See you at the bar!
