There she had a good chance in her race after coming third place in a competition with the rest of Europe in 2009 and winning many other long distance and cross country events.

Carla was selected to run for the Isle of Wight in the 800m, which she ran on Wednesday morning.

She came a commendable fifth place out of ten competitors and achieved a Personal Best (PB), given that she was younger than the other athletes and possibly had less experience, she did amazingly!

Putting in a performance like that will do her no harm in desire to be a contender for the next Island Games, in Bermuda.
