Cash boost for Isle of Wight causes in the Asda Green Token Scheme

There is still time to vote for your favourite Isle of Wight community group in the ASDA Foundation Green Token scheme.

Each year, the Asda Foundation invests over £1.4m to more than 4,000 good causes through Green Token Giving. The Green Token Giving activity is currently on pause during the shops due to Covid restrictions, so it’s been reverted to the voting online.

A choice of three
This month Isle of Wight Asda is asking people to vote for one of three organisations to receive a cash bonus.

This month you can choose from

  • Baby Box Isle of Wight: The funding will support and supply baby and toddler essentials to families who are struggling in the community
  • Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group: A group who support men diagnosed with prostate cancer and their families on the Island, as well as running PSA blood tests screening for early diagnosis.
  • 2nd Cowes Sea Scouts: The group would like to get a new mess tent to enable the new camping season to get the group together as the old tent is over 40 years old.

Cash prizes for all
The cause with the most online votes will receive a £500 donation, while second and third place each receive £200.

Head over to the Asda Website to cast your vote.
