Carisbrooke Castle Museum will host a special presentation by Noel Stimson to mark the 200th anniversary of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
The evening will explore how the RNLI has grown and adapted since its early days, covering lifeboats, crew training and equipment.
It will also look at lifeboat building on the River Medina and the organisation’s involvement in wider world affairs.
Event details
The talk takes place on Wednesday 10th September. The castle gates will open between 6.45pm and 6.55pm. The talk will begin at 7pm.
Supporting the museum
Tickets cost £7.50 and all proceeds will support the work of the museum.
Booking is essential and tickets can be reserved online.
