The Celebrating Age Festival takes place at venues across the Isle of Wight on 1st, 2nd and 3rd October.
Timed to coincide with the UK Older People’s Day on 1st October, the festival celebrates age and experience, offering people aged 50 years and above the opportunity to try a wide range of activities at minimal cost.
Age Concern Isle of Wight have worked with groups and tutors around the Island to ensure there is a spread of activities taking place across the Island throughout the three days of the festival.
Huge variety of events
This year, activities include everything from singing and ballroom dancing to healthy cooking, painting and photography “¦ there’s even a chance to try stargazing and for the more adventurous, perhaps a spot of canoeing or keel-boating!
All based in Newport

And to round off this year’s festival, Prime Theatre will be performing their fantastic show ‘Thanks for The Memory’ at Quay Arts Centre on 16th October.
