Greenmount Primary School has been awarded the School Participation Award for their outstanding entry based on the theme: “My place, through my eyes.”
As part of the project, children were invited to create artwork that reflected their home, school, or village from their unique perspective.
A single collaborative project
Rather than working individually, the Key Stage 2 Art Club at Greenmount Primary School chose to collaborate on a single group project, allowing them to combine their ideas and creativity.
Their final piece—a stunning mixed-media representation of the Isle of Wight—showcased their shared vision and artistic talents. Using watercolours, oil pastels, collage, and pencil, the artwork captured the essence of the Island, featuring local landmarks, food, wildlife and more.

The piece was displayed in the Education Area at the County Show, where it was selected as the winning entry.
Presented with award
On Monday, 21st July, Graham Biss, County Show organiser and Managing Director of Natural Enterprises, visited the school to present the children with their award and certificate.
The project stands as a testament to the power of teamwork, creativity and community pride.
