Richard Peace golf challenge:

Charity golf challenge will see every hole on the Island played in just 18 hours

This coming weekend, two Islanders, Richard Peace and Craig Mussell will be partaking in a spot of golf.

However, they’ll not be doing your normal nine or 18 holes, Richard and Craig plan to play 99 holes of golf in 18 hours, starting at 4am!

Supporting cancer care
The extended golf play has been organised as part of the MacMillan Cancer Support Longest Day challenge through which Richard and Craig hope to raise £500.

The challenge takes place on Saturday (21st June) and will see the chaps play every golf hole on the Isle of Wight. They hope to finish at Freshwater sometime around dusk.

Richard says,

“The challenge will involve 477 shots (hopefully), 99 holes, 22 miles of walking carrying our golf bags, 18 hours and 8 courses.”
