Following contact from Sean Strevens of Cheetah Marine the weekend before last, Simon took a trip up to visit them on the industrial estate last Monday.

Chetah MarineIf you remember, Sean felt that the discussion on the VentnorBlog forum of the issue was one sided*.

Given the magnitude of their proposed development of the Eastern Esplanade, we have no problem in them putting their case forward on the blog.

It has been a frantic week for us both, resulting in the fact that we haven’t had time to edit the recording that Simon took. It’s pretty long (one hour and 35 mins) but covers most of the issues from their perspective.

Once you’ve heard ‘both sides of the story’ you can make an informed judgement of the situation yourselves.

Sean was enthusiastic to be involved in a chaired public meeting to discuss the issue and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s organised.

Click on the arrow below to launch the player and sit back and listen. You can pause the recording and return to it later if you get interuppted.

(*of course at anytime they could’ve come on the forum and put their point of view forward – just as anyone can).
