Christ The King College Sixth Form: Work Starts Next Week

Concerns regarding delays to the planning process for the new Sixth Form building at Christ the King College finally seem to have been addressed.

Blueprints: In last week’s newsletter to parents, Principal of the College, Mrs Goodhead, shared the latest news regarding the proposed Sixth Form accommodation.

She said that despite the “extremely frustrating issues and delays regarding planning”, the project was now “progressing well”.

Council will assist if delay
Work is expected to start next week (week commencing 16th July) and the College has received assurances that should there be any delay to the completion of the build, the Isle of Wight council will ensure the College is provided with temporary accommodation for the initial few weeks of the Autumn Term.

This news followed a meeting between the College, the Isle of Wight council, both Dioceses and a Government official.

Further updates are expected before the end of term.
