Families from across the Isle of Wight will have the chance to enjoy some Easter fun as well as discovering its maritime heritage over the holiday period.
The Classic Boat Museum in Cowes has now consolidated its array of historic boats and other artefacts under one roof in Medina Road in the town and is planning an Easter Egg-stravaganza ahead of its main season.
And the good news is that entrance to the museum, complete with an Easter egg competition for kids, is totally free.

Free entry and Easter egg competition
Children under the age of 17 will need to follow a Lifeboat Trail around the museum to claim their free egg.
Boats, hovercraft and bargain books
There will also be the chance to see everything from mini hovercraft to vintage sailing dinghies.
If you are interested in maritime literature, there will be the chance to pick up a bargain in the second-hand book sale, where hundreds of volumes will be on offer at 50 per cent of their normal price.

When and where
The event will take place on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, from 11am to 3pm on each day.
Sneak preview of new collection
Museum trustees’ chairman Michael Loftus, said,
“This is a Chance for a sneak preview of this year’s collection, which includes many new exhibits.”

The museum is located in Medina Road, Cowes, and parking is free in the Medina Yard outside.
