Bright yellow Hot Rod in Aldi car park

Classic hot rods turn heads across the Isle of Wight this week

If you have been travelling around the Isle of Wight this week, you might have spotted a hot rod or two.

The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) has chosen the Island as the destination for its 2026 Fun Run. The event follows the Association’s 2025 gathering in Cornwall, and this year brings members across the water to the Isle of Wight.

The Island’s own hot rod community is hosting and delivering the week, which includes cruising, exploring and plenty of company.

A week based at Whitecliff Bay
NSRA members are staying at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park from 25th to 31st May 2026.

The location places them within easy reach of some of the Island’s best-known spots for a week-long tour.

Where to see the hot rods
Today the hot rods move to Osborne House.

Friday takes them to Wight Aviation at Sandown Airport, as well as the Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum in Ryde.

A ten-mile convoy along the coast
On Saturday the members drive a ten-mile convoy along the Military Road.
