We’re all set to enjoy an extra hour of rest this Sunday, as we say goodbye to British Summer Time (BST) and revert back to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
This century-old tradition, marking the end of daylight saving time, signifies the approach of the winter months – something that has been felt by all this week with the heavy rain and flooding.
While some might enjoy the extra hour of sleep, the clocks moving back an hour will mean darker evenings arrive much earlier and some potential disruption to sleep patterns.
Turn back your clocks
As we ‘fall back’ don’t forget to adjust any manual clocks before bedtime on Saturday. Mobile phones and computers will do it automatically.
Enjoy the bonus hour in bed, or peace and quiet of being up when everyone else is still in bed.
