The Isle of Wight Society for the Blind (IWSB) is pleased to announce it has provided funding to coach a group of visually impaired golfers for another year.

Westridge Golf Club initially found funding to coach the group of around seven visually impaired golfers, but that funding ran out earlier this year.

Estelle Thomas, CEO of IWSB said,

“The group set themselves up last year by approaching Westridge Golf Club in Ryde. The group has been made very welcome by staff and members of the Club.

“The £480 funding that we’ve provided has come from a previous fund to provide outdoor activities for visually impaired people. Having seen the group in action, I can vouch for how much they all enjoy the golf and the socialising.”
