A license application has been submitted and planning application lodged with the council for a new pub in Lake.
Brewing and pub retail business, Marston’s, plan to build a purpose built pub on the site of Merrie Gardens Farm, opposite the Spithead Business Park on Newport Road in Lake.
According to the paperwork, the licence application has only attracted one objection from local residents.
Police have raised concerns regarding the hours of the premises being open to bona fide guests of residents. They have requested a number of conditions be attached to the licence, should the Committee approve the application.
The application will be considered on 19th January by the Licensing (Determinations) Sub-Committee.
