Corries Cabin matches Foodbank donations with festive battered sprouts on menu

Nothing signals the start of the Christmas period like the return of battered sprouts.

Cowes chip Shop, Corries Cabin, has started its Christmas menu, and sprouts are top of the bill.

Ben Butler, shop supervisor, said,

“We get asked for them all year round, who knew they would be so popular.”

Battered sprouts are joined by regular favourites pigs in blankest, a foot long pig in blanker (not for the feint hearted), battered mince pie and as a taste of France, brie bites.

Corries Cabin has continued to “match” the donations that have been raised in the restaurant.

Over £1,200 has been given to the Isle of Wight Foodbank again this year, with any customer donations on top.
