Isle of Wight musician and singer-songwriter, Corrine Atkins, will release a new single on 25th April 2025.
The track, written during a profoundly emotional period, reflects her younger sister Gabrielle’s long and difficult health journey.
A song born from struggle and love
Gabrielle was diagnosed with Bronchial Atresia, a rare lung condition, in 2022 — years after experiencing symptoms that were misdiagnosed from birth.
She spent three years enduring repeated hospital visits before finally receiving surgery this year.
During this time, Corrine turned to her music as a way of processing the intense emotions of watching her sister struggle.
Late one evening, she sat down and channelled her frustration, helplessness, and love into lyrics that captured not only Gabrielle’s fight but also the broader challenges faced by families within the healthcare system.
A voice rooted in honesty
Corrine’s music combines soulful rhythms with calming acoustic melodies and lyrics drawn from real-life experiences.

Her honest and emotive style has built a strong connection with listeners who appreciate the quiet strength of her delivery.
She hopes this latest single will resonate with others who have lived through similar situations, offering both comfort and solidarity.
A sister’s tribute
Speaking about the song, Gabrielle said,
“Corrine called me whilst I was in hospital and poured her heart out through this song, it moved me to tears, echoing the raw pain and hope embedded in every note.
“This song is not just a melody; it is a testament to resilience and love, deeply meaningful to me, and I hope it touches everyone who listens. I am incredibly proud to call her my sister, and sharing her soulful expression with the world holds immense significance for us both.
“Please, take a moment to listen; it would mean everything.”
A collaborative release
Corrine expressed her thanks to those who helped bring the single to life, saying,
“I am immensely grateful to Side House Recordings for bringing my song to life, Craig Egerton-read on Electric Guitar and bass, and Keziah Brown on violin, for being an integral part of this journey.”
The single will be available on all streaming platforms from 25th April. Fans can also purchase new merchandise via her website, and a physical CD is due for release soon.
