Isle of Wight Council has launched a new campaign to help Islanders get more active and fit.
A ‘Fall into Fitness’ open day is being held on Saturday 25 September at the council’s leisure centres where the public can come along and see what’s on offer. Visitors can also use the Tone Zone gyms for free so they can ‘try before they buy’.
Staff will be on hand during the open day at the Tone Zone gyms at The Heights, Medina Leisure Centre and Westridge, to answer fitness questions and help customers choose what’s best for them.
Each Tone Zone has a wide range of equipment, from bikes to rowers and steppers, to give an all-over fitness regime.
Variety of venues
The open day days at The Heights and Medina are being held between 10am – 4pm and at Westridge Squash and Tone Zone between 10am – 1pm.
The offers are not only for new customers either. To stop a fitness programme becoming routine or repetitive, existing customers can book to refresh their fitness programmes at one of the Tone Zone gyms. This must be pre-booked before the open day and customers booking a refresh will also get a free session in one of the far-infrared therapy cabins at The Heights or Medina Leisure Centre.
One Card Membership
Membership options under the council’s One Card scheme have been improved to make it even easier to choose an option. There are cards for adults, juniors and students, all for a monthly fee with flexible payment options.
Customers who sign up for a Gold One Card during the open day for a minimum of three months will get a month free. The first 25 customers to sign up for a Gold One Card on the day will get a free gift.
