THE COWES chain ferry will be out of service for large parts of the Saturday November 24 and Sunday 25 to allow maintenance work to take place.
The work will involve extensive repairs to the slipway and the replacement of the chain
Normal service will start at 05.00 on Saturday (24) and finish at 08.00. A launch service will be provided from 08.00 till 23.00.
Normal service will start at 06.35 on Sunday (25) and finish at 11.00. A launch service will be provided from 11.00 till approx 21.00 when the works should be completed.
Normal service will be resumed at approx 21.00 once the works have been completed.
The IW Council apologises for any inconvenience.
