Do you want to help with the future of the Cowes Floating Bridge? Got some time this Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
Masters engineering students from Southampton Uni are currently engaged in a six month project to look at and evaluate future options of that crossing. The time they’ve volunteering, if charged at professional fee levels, would be equal to over £150,000 for the whole project. They’re doing it all for free.
Can you spare a little time?
Well, they’re carrying out a passenger survey this week – and they’re looking for people to help out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Each of the days they’re going to be there from the first sailing (6:30am) until the last, at 23:15. Talk about devoted!
As a volunteers don’t have to be there for such mad hours, just make pre-arranged slots where you can.
It’s all very easy to get involved, so why not?
