An update is just in from the Isle of Wight council about the floating bridge.
Following problems at the weekend when a ship hit the chain, causing damage, the Cowes Floating Bridge will remain out of service until at least Midday tomorrow (Tuesday 9 November).
The delay is mainly due to the high tides today, as maintenance can only be carried out at certain times.
A passenger service launch remains in operation.
Bicycles may also be taken on the passenger launch.
