Culver Cliff collapse serves as stark reminder of cliff safety (photos)

Jonathan Quayle, who resides in the Coastguard cottages on Culver cliff, perfectly illustrates the importance of avoiding close proximity to the cliff edge in these dramatic photos.

During his morning walk today (Monday), Jonathan encountered a section of a buried fort that extended over the beach.

Jonathan told News OnTheWight about his discovery,

“I live in the Coastguard cottages up Culver and usually walk up to the cliffs daily, so it was quite a surprise to see the wall had finally collapsed.”

The fall happened over the weekend.

Jonathan shared his photos on the Sandown Hub Group on Facebook, which attracted a substantial number of comments.
