There’s less than two months to go until the 2010 JP Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race takes place.
The earlier start time of 5am will mean an early night for those taking part.
The Island Sailing Club have today announced that daughter of the Island, Dame Ellen MacArthur will be firing the starting cannon to set the fleet on its way.
That won’t be the extent of her involvement, once she’s fired the cannon, Ellen will jumping into one of one of the four ‘Ellen MacArthur Trust’ boats to take part in the race.
The JP Morgan Round the Island Race takes place on Saturday 19th June 2010.
