Damien Nettles: Charlie Wellman Creates Extraordinary Artwork

Congratulations to Cowes High A-level student, Charlie Wellman.

At a recent exhibition held at Cowes Yacht Haven, Charlie won best overall award for this extraordinary piece of artwork.

The news was sent to us by Valerie Nettles, mother of Damien Nettles who went missing on the Isle of Wight in 1996.

The portrait is made up of all sorts of information relating to Damien’s disappearance, dates, places etc., (see larger version below for detail).

We’re sure you’ll agree that the artwork is an excellent tribute to Damien who has been missing for almost fifteen years.

Five men arrested in May on suspicion of murdering Damien Nettles in 1996 were bailed until September 2011 pending further enquiries.
