Well done to Don Prescott from Ventnor for calling in to question David Pugh on Wightfm today about the dire situation with the Isle of Wight Planning Department.
David Pugh was correct in saying that VB have gone as far as previously congratulating Planning in connection with developments in Ventnor – but that was when they appeared to be taking action.
He obviously hasn’t been reading the blog lately.
Last November VB congratulated the Planning Committee on refusing the retrospective application by Michael Jennings for St Joseph’s Development in Ventnor.
Unfortunately as reported yesterday THREE MONTHS later and no enforcement action has been taken, so our previous praise has been unfortunately clouded by this incredible lack of action.
Perhaps the question to David Pugh should be “Who is going to take responsibility for the lack of action?”
