Our friends over at Goodleaf had some great news to share with us this week when they received approval from the Isle of Wight Council to extend their tree climbing activities to Appley Park in Ryde.
Starting from Sunday 12th July and running every Sunday until the end of August, the guys at Goodleaf invite members of the public to pop along and give tree climbing a go.
Sessions (charged at just £10) are expected to last around an hour and tickets can be bought in advance or by just turning up on the day.
We caught up with Goodleaf founder, Paul, yesterday afternoon in a secret location near East Cowes to find out more (check back tomorrow for podcast).
He told us how chuffed they are to have the new climbs in Ryde approved, praising the work of Parks and Countryside Manager, Matthew Chatfield and is very excited about opening up this activity to a wider audience.
David Pugh Soaring to New Heights
To launch the service, Isle of Wight Council leader David Pugh will be taking the first climb on Friday 10th July at 4pm.
We’ll be there to find out how it felt climbing to the top of the tree.
