Dean Friedman Plays Quay

We are very proud to welcome Dean Friedman described by such pop luminaries as Paul Simon as an important musical influence.

Dean Friedman Plays QuayHe will be performing songs old and new from his extensive catalogue in the Anthony Anthony Minghella Theatre on Tue 28 Oct at 8pm.

Dean is the chart-topping writer of such classics as “Woman of Mine”, “Lydia”, “Lucky Stars” and “Ariel” whilst another, ‘McDonald’s Girl’ was officially banned by the BBC for mentioning the name of the well known fast food chain in its chorus!

The irrepressible pop song has been covered by a number of acclaimed new bands including The Blenders (Universal) whose recording of the song soared to #1 on the national airplay charts in Norway.

Dean has turned his hand to composing and producing music soundtracks for TV and film including the soundtrack to the underground cult horror film classic I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle (Hobo Films/U.K.) in which he performs the unforgettable track She Runs on Blood, Not Gasoline.

“Songsmith extraordinaire!” MusicWeek

“Every song in this show is a classic in its own right – intimate, epic, satirical or just plain loving, there’s a song for everyone. You won’t see a better show.” London Theatre Guide

Discover what devoted fans have known for years – the sophisticated, funny, profound work of a master songsmith.

Dean does very few concerts in this country so don’t miss this one!
