Debut Isle of Wight Twestival

If you’re not going to be one of the 40,000 people descending upon Robin Hill for the 2009 Bestival next month, you might be looking for something else to do that weekend.

Debut Isle of Wight TwestivalIf you haven’t made plans for Saturday 12th September then read on.

A group of tweeters (those are people who use Twitter) from the Island have followed in the footsteps of Twitterrati from around the globe and organised a fund raising Twestival.

They have a fab night lined up, with live music from Ben Fiddle, comedy from Richard Quigley and Ric Wharton, a charity auction (raising funds for Gift to Nature) and more.

The auction prizes currently consist of a weekend break in Ventnor, the tools for setting up your own online e-commerce store, two tickets to see Abba the musical in Bournemouth and a trip round Yates brewery.

Goodleaf Tree Climbing and Sportiesonline.com are also donating auction items details of which are yet to be revealed.

It all takes place on Saturday 12 September 2009 between 7pm and 2am at The Black Sheep Club Lounge, Union Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight

Ticket price: £10 in advance; £12 on door.

Remember all proceeds go to Isle of Wight charity, Gift to Nature.
