Did you see assault and robbery in Ryde?

Police investigating the assault and robbery of a man in Ryde around 3.00pm on Friday November 23 are appealing for witnesses.

The man was walking home from work along The Strand and was approached by three men.

They asked him whether he had any money to which he replied “no”.

Then they grabbed his jacket and pulled him to the floor and punched him in the face and body before stealing the man’s iPhone, £40 in cash and running off.

Description of offenders
The offenders are described as:

  1. White man, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, early 20s, wearing a black jacket
  2. White man, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, early 20s, wearing a dark blue jacket.
  3. White man, about 5ft 5ins tall, bigger build

DC Rhian Fairweather, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is an unprovoked attack which left the victim with an injured arm and we would particularly like to speak with a male and female walking together past the location where the incident occurred.”
