Discover the magic of literature with the return of the much-loved Ventnor Book Bus

It wouldn’t be Ventnor Fringe Festival without The Book Bus, so we’re really pleased to see its return again this year, albeit to a different schedule than previous years (check opening times below).

Jen and Tom has been busy gathering their wonderfully curated selections of books for you buy, including new and secondhand books.

On erach Friday and Saturday of Ventnor Fringe you’ll be able to explore this pop-up bookshop in a 1930s Parisian bus.

As usual The Book Bus will be located in the Fringe Square (outside St Catherine’s Church), where you can catch a variety of live music and spoken word performances, the Maker’s Market.

Opening times
The Book Bus will be open on Fridays (19th/26th) and Saturdays (20th/27th) between 10am to 4pm.

For the other days that the Book Bus is in the Fringe Square, it will be used for performances and activities.

Park and ride shuttle bus
Don’t forget that if you are coming from outside Ventnor, a park and ride at the Rugby Club has been organised by Ventnor Fringe. You can park for £5 per day in the Rugby Club (on Whitwell Road just before you enter Ventnor) and catch the shuttle bus to all the venues.

A shuttle bus pass for the ten days costs £20 and you can travel as much as you like every day on the bus. Alternatively pay £2 per journey.

You don’t have to use the parking facilities to use the bus to get around the town.
