Disruption to Island Line Trains on Sunday Morning

If you’re planning to travel on the Island Line trains on Sunday morning, read on.

Due to engineering work taking place in the Ryde Esplanade area, the early morning services on Sunday 15th August will be disrupted.

All trains between Ryde Esplanade & Shanklin before 9am will be replaced by a bus service.

Service resumes after 9am
Every effort will be made to finish this work earlier than 9am and to restore full train services as soon as possible.

The first train to run between Ryde St Johns Road and Shanklin will be at 9.13am with Ryde St Johns Road and Ryde Pier Head at 9.35am.

Obviously because of the vehicle restrictions on the pier, you;ll have to walk from the esplanade to the pier head if you want to catch the FastCat.

Look out for Minibuses
Redline Taxis will be providing the minibuses, but they’re unable to take bicycles on them.

The minibuses will depart from station forecourts and will serve all Island Line stations.
