Liz will provide a general overview and update on diabetes care for people living on the Isle of Wight, followed by a question and answer session.
It will be an ideal opportunity for those newly diagnosed with diabetes and those who have more experience of managing their diabetes, to ask any questions they might have about their diabetes care on the Isle of Wight.
Bast: Important and helpful information
Ian Bast, Chairman of Diabetes Group IW said,
“We are delighted to be hosting Liz Whittingstall, who is well known to many of our members and residents who use the Diabetes Centre at the hospital. She will be sharing important and helpful information about diabetes care, including what to expect at your annual checks and more.
“For example diabetes increases the risk of developing problems with your feet and eyes, some of which can be serious. Come along to find out how this is managed as part of your annual checks care plan.
“We welcome anyone interested in finding out more about diabetes care to come along to find out about what care is available and information about self-management to live a fulfilling life. I’m sure you will not be disappointed in joining us.”
