Don’t miss LudFest this weekend: 12 hours of live music

The Lud in Ryde are gearing up for their fourth annual LudFest event this weekend, where some of the best and most generous of Isle of Wight musicians come together to raise money for charity.

Raising money and awareness
This year the beneficiary of this generosity will be the Pop-up Soup Kitchen, an Isle of Wight project reaching out to around 20 vulnerable individuals who are sleeping on the streets and unable to access the systems and provisions that are ‘officially’ in place.

The event takes place on Sunday 29th May, running from Midday to Midnight and featuring:

The Crew
Chiz Jones
Black Lagoon Scuba Club
Wight Sabbath
Code
Hard Suction
King Kuna
Bobbin and the Babymakers
Daryl Wyn
The Dead Perrys
Rage Faff (a one night Riff Raff and Stage Fright mashup)
Skin Deep and Hashtag (pictured)

Show your support
Luisa King from The Lud says,

“Trev Blaney and his team have been responding to these people since November 2015, providing them with equipment, clothing, warm food and human contact daily.

“Trev is moving mountains directly and dynamically for these people and we are desperate to support him.”

So gather your friends and make a day and night of it, all in aid of charity and it’s the bank holiday weekend, so some of you don’t have work the next day.
