East Cowes Business Association moves into second year

East Cowes Biz Website:

Many thanks to Gail Ebbatson for this update from East Cowes Business Association. Ed

This is now the second year of the reformed East Cowes Business Association and we are very pleased that membership now stands at 24.

During our first year we have set up our own Website which gives every member an online presence enabling them to advertise and be kept informed.

As we also recognise the importance of social media, we have set up a Twitter feed @Eastcowesbiz on which members can also advertise and announce special deals.

Forthcoming projects
We’re still working with the Town Council and Partnership Committee to put in a bid for funds for a signage scheme for the town which involve strategically placed maps and advertising boxes together with an arch to link the new shops in Well Road to the older, more established part of the town.

Last year we helped the Town Council organise an event to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee on the Jubilee Recreation Ground and we also resurrected ‘Christmas in the Square’ which was very well received and which we will again be supporting this year.

Comprehensive business directory
We are now planning to produce a comprehensive business directory, which will include all businesses operating in the PO32 postcode area.

Therefore, if you run any business, we would love to include a listing for you, completely free of charge. All you have to do is e-mail your name, business address and contact details to [email protected].

We aim to be a pressure group to lobby and to speak with one voice for the good of all businesses in East Cowes, and to this end we invite anyone who is interested to find out more at www.ecba.biz
