Easter eggs aplenty at Cowes RNLI lifeboat station

Children and parents flocked to Cowes RNLI lifeboat station on Good Friday to take up an invitation to tour the station and take part in a special egg-scavenger hunt.

Station members were on hand during the two-hour event to ensure the visitors felt welcome and learned more about the RNLI, the station, and the Atlantic 85 lifeboat ‘Sheena Louise’. In the boathouse members of the crew helped some of the more venturesome children up on to the lifeboat.

The egg hunt, organised by shore crew member Penny Maclean, involved youngsters finding the answers to clues scattered about the station, and then receiving several tiny chocolate Easter eggs as a prize.
