An item which came up in the Town Clerk’s report last night was that 10 signatories had been received calling for an election in relation to the Town Councillor vacancy in the Ventnor St Lawrence ward following Cllr Nettleton’s resignation last month.
The official publication of the notice of the election will take place on Thursday 14 January 2010, with nominations for the position needing to be submitted by noon on Friday 22 January 2010.
The list of those nominated will be published by noon on Tuesday 26 January 2010.
If you live in St Lawrence, you’ll need to mark Thursday 18 February in your diaries for polling day.
