Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to an incident in Ryde this morning (Wednesday).
A man was reported to be seen standing on a window ledge of The Marine pub on the Esplanade.
A spokesperson from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said,
“We were called to assist a man standing on a ledge at 4.40am.
“Our aerial platform was taken to the scene.
“The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
Our thoughts are with the man and his family – we hope he gets the help he needs.
