On Saturday 8th June, the Phoenix Choir will be performing a fund-raising concert at All Saints Church, Newchurch.
The church’s iconic white tower desperately needs restoration and maintenance work in order to stabilise it and to secure it for future generations. The wooden church tower has suffered water ingress and wear and tear and has already had a metal frame added to strengthen it, but much more needs to be done. The concert will raise funds toward the cost of the work.
The programme
The mixed choir will again be singing a wide range of songs from films and musicals including ‘The Lion King’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘Les Miserables’, together with well-known tunes by Abba, Elvis Presley, Rod Stewart and others.
Retiring collection
The concert starts at 7pm, admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of the Tower Appeal.
