Wightlink passengers travelling between Fishbourne and Portsmouth on Saturday 20 April will have the opportunity to see the work and purchase products from eight of the Isle of Wight’s Young Enterprise companies.
The eight Young Enterprise teams from Island Schools and Colleges who are all taking part in the national Young Enterprise Company Programme competition will be aboard the St Clare from the 10am Fishbourne sailing until disembarking after the 3pm crossing from Portsmouth.
Range of products on offer
Travellers will be able to buy a range of gifts and goods including Cookery Books, Garden Gnomes, QR Code Bracelets, Isle of Wight themed products, Dali style clocks and a DVD designed for new computer users.
This year sees 110 pupils taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme on the Island, part of the national business charity which involves young people aged 15-19 in creating and running their own businesses for a full academic year.

Doug Stephen, Chairman of Young Enterprise on the Island said, “I can’t thank Wightlink enough for the support they have given us in making it this event possible. The St Clare is their largest ferry and is capable of carrying up to 870 passengers on each crossing.
“The day is all about giving the young entrepreneurs the opportunity to engage with members of the public, to promote and to sell their products. I’m certain this experience will stay with them for years to come.”
