The Isle of Wight Marlins Swim has announced that entries have opened for the Pier2Pier Sea Swim Isle of Wight 2026.
The organisers confirmed that swimmers can now register for the annual open-water event.
Date and timing confirmed
The swim will take place on Saturday 1st August at 2pm.
The organisers have also scheduled a back-up date of Sunday 2nd August at 3pm in case weather conditions require a change.
The course
Those taking part in the Pier to Pier Challenge will swim 1.8 miles from Sandown Pier, across the bay, to finish on the beach outside Shanklin and Sandown Rowing Club.
The organisers chose this finish point because it marks the site of the original finish at Shanklin Pier, which the 1986 storms destroyed.
Strong demand expected
The Pier2Pier Sea Swim Isle of Wight attracts strong interest each year.
Previous events have sold out quickly, and the organisers have advised swimmers not to delay entering.
