Families from across the Isle of Wight will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with woodland and wildlife on the Island with the latest in a series of free walks at the newly opened Pan Country Park.

Family walkingThe next walk takes place on Thursday July 25 at 10.30am – perfectly timed for the start of the school summer holidays.

Natural Enterprise is hosting a series of free walks through the newly opened Pan Country Park. And families with young children, in particular, have welcomed the chance to throw on their walking boots and take a closer look at the island’s diverse natural offering.

Ian Boyd from Natural Enterprise said,

“We have been working hard with many other local organisations to make the Pan Country Park a reality and now we just want to share our enthusiasm for its fantastic surroundings, something we can all enjoy.

“Our series of walks are the perfect opportunity for parents and children to share a fun morning, searching streams for leeches and use the amazing Bug-Hoover to explore the Park’s mini-beast kingdom.”

The walks will begin at The Hub, next to Barratt’s Pan Meadows development and take place between 10.30am and 12pm.

Barratt Homes has teamed up with Natural Enterprise and is sponsoring the free to attend woodland walks.
