Duck being rescued from Underground Service Engineering's Drainage Team

Farm property’s feathered friend: A drainage rescue mission

On Saturday 16th September, a rather unusual situation arose at an Isle of Wight farm property that required the expertise of Underground Service Engineering’s (USE) Drainage Team.

The team faced a feathery predicament when a duck found itself trapped in a drain line. However, instead of improvising, the engineers approached the situation with utmost professionalism.

Trusty tools and swift action
Armed with their reliable CCTV Camera, the team efficiently located the distressed duck. Demonstrating their commitment to the task, they swiftly carried out a safe rescue operation, ensuring the duck’s well-being.

Preventing future fowl play
In the wake of this incident, measures are being taken to ensure such occurrences are nipped in the bud.

The property is now implementing safeguards to prevent any more ducks from inadvertently waddling into similar troublesome situations.

Well done to all involved. Read more about this on USE’s Facebook page.
