Festival Warmup Next Weekend at The Studio

The weekend might not be over yet, but if you’re planning what you’re going to get up to next weekend, then look no further than this great Festival Warmup gig.

Tin SoldiersTaking place at The Studio in Newport, Ding Dong Promotions have managed to pull together three great bands to get you in the festival mood.

All the way from Croydon come three piece, The Tunics, described by NME as “Knitting together the socio-political zeal and foresight of The Reverend with the sweet melodious indie rock’n’roll of Britpoppers The Bluetones, The Tunics wear their fiery, urgent tunes with a brutal honesty and earnestness.”

Joining them on stage will also be The Tin Soldiers (pictured). Q Magazine says of them, “Chugging guitars, explosive time changes, like Muse playing proper pop songs with Dave Grohl at the volume control. As you can imagine melodies are rife, guitars spin off and drums are given a good kicking, indeed frenetic dancing and weird shapes are often thrown as a result.”

Hold FireHailing from Brighton, Hold Fire have already supported the likes of Cage The Elephant, One Night Only and The Days.

We understand that they’ve sharpened their live set and with a successful album recording session, plus a series of gigs and festivals up and down the UK, they’ve honed their sound.

Later in the year they’ll be releasing their debut album, playing in Japan and touring all over the UK.
