Tonight sees the Economy and Environment Scrutiny Panel meet at County Hall.
From 5pm, members of the panel; Cllr Barry, Cllr Dixcey, Cllr Fuller, Cllr Peacey-Wilcox, Cllr Ward (Chairman) and Cllr White will consider several items from the agenda.
Fire service modernisation
Something probably at the forefront of many people’s minds are the plans for the fire control centre to be moved to Surrey.
As previously reported, Cllr Abraham, the cabinet member responsible, will be making a delegated decision on it today and it will be discussed at tonight’s meeting.
Loos, low carbon economy and budgets
Also on the agenda is a review of public convenience provision, a presentation on work being undertaken to establish the Island as a centre of excellence in the low carbon economy and updates on budgets for 2010/11 and 2011/12.
Items on the latest Forward plan will be discussed.
The public are welcome to attend and the first 15 minutes are allows for public questions to be asked of the panel.
