East Cowes Town Council is delighted to announce the tremendous success of the first-ever East Cowes Festival, which brought together residents, visitors, artists, performers and community groups for a memorable celebration of the town’s vibrant community spirit.
Mix of music, art and activities
The festival attracted people of all ages and featured a diverse programme of entertainment, music, art and community activities.
The event created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the town, showcasing local talent and highlighting the strong sense of community that makes East Cowes such a special place.
Performers gave time free of charge
East Cowes Town Council would like to express its sincere thanks to all of the artists, performers, musicians and community groups who generously donated their time and talents free of charge. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment played a vital role in making the festival such a resounding success.
The Council would also like to recognise the hard work and dedication of the Town Council’s Events Committee, whose support and guidance helped shape the festival from its inception.
Staff, councillors and volunteers
Thanks are also extended to the Town Council staff team, who played an important role in the planning, marketing and delivery of the event, working alongside councillors, volunteers and community partners to help ensure the festival ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all. Their commitment and teamwork contributed significantly to the success of the weekend.
The Council also wishes to thank the many volunteers who gave their time before, during and after the event. Their enthusiasm, energy and willingness to help ensured that everything ran smoothly and that visitors received a warm East Cowes welcome.
Mayor: Proud of what community achieved
Mayor of East Cowes, Councillor Tracy Reardon, said,
“I am incredibly proud of what our community has achieved through the first East Cowes Festival. The response from residents and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive, and it has been wonderful to see so many people enjoying the event together.
“The festival was made even more special by the Cowes Week 200th Anniversary celebrations, including the magnificent fireworks display on Friday evening, which was enjoyed by so many people.
“I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of the artists, performers and community groups who gave their time so generously, as well as our volunteers, Events Committee and Town Council staff, whose collective efforts made the festival possible.
“This event has truly showcased the strength of community spirit in East Cowes, and I hope it will be remembered as the first of many successful festivals for our town.”
Foundation for future festivals
The success of the inaugural East Cowes Festival has provided a strong foundation for future events, and East Cowes Town Council looks forward to continuing to create opportunities for the community to come together, celebrate local talent and promote everything that makes East Cowes such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
