From today, 5th November, for the next seven days, Islander Greg Chapman will be releasing a series of Web videos about the First World War and the soldiers who died in it.
Greg is the creator of weekly historical Web series called Condensed Histories, which is mostly filmed on the Isle of Wight
Daily episodes
Each day this week he’ll be focusing on different aspects of the First World War. He tells us that each episode will also include a short piece of war poetry.
Greg’s series will taking a look at the events of 11th November 1918, in the time between 5am when the peace treaty was signed, through to 11am when the Armistice finally came into effect.
