Police can confirm they were called to a report of a road traffic collision on Kite Hill, Wootton Bridge near Ryde on the Isle of Wight at 6.46pm on Monday, 13 September, 2010.
It’s alleged a Range Rover made contact with a wall before coming to a stop and blocking part of the road.
A 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from the Sussex area were arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, and possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
Isle of Wight Targeted Patrol Team (TPT) officers took the suspects into custody where they remain today (Tuesday, September 14) for questioning.
An investigation by detectives from the Isle of Wight Priority Crime Unit (PCU) is continuing.
