Five Degrees North releases new single ahead of Isle of Wight Festival performance

Isle of Wight rock band Five Degrees North have released their latest single ahead of an appearance on the Isle of Wight Festival main stage later this month.

Julie Anne was released earlier this week (11th June) and to celebrate, the trio took to the stage at Newport’s Strings Bar and Venue the same day.

The single
The single is about someone who can’t get their mind off a girl they previously loved and accompanying the band are Carys Morgan and Faith Jones, who supply backing vocals.

The band added the song, which took months to perfect, gets more and more unhinged into the character’s state of mind whilst going through the situation.

Speaking about the single, the band said,

“This track focuses on a darker topic and is very personal to us.

“We hope everyone enjoys it!”

Playing live at Isle of Wight Festival
In April, Five Degrees North were crowned the winners of the annual Wight Noize competition, meaning they will perform on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival.

You can catch the band perform at 11:55am on Saturday, 21st June 2025. They will also perform in the Kashmir Cafe over the festival weekend.

Last month, alongside fellow Isle of Wight band The Optimists, Five Degrees North performed in Southampton at Heartbreakers.
