The Cowes floating bridge which is currently undergoing essential maintenance will be out of service until at least Friday 2 May Monday 5th May the council say.
It was hoped to be out of service for just one week.
Diversions remain in place for motorists and a passenger launch is also operating across the mouth of the River Medina.
Once a firm date for completion is announced, we’ll let you know.
